What memories. Seeing the Flying Red Horse on the horizon as we returned to Dallas from visiting family in Denton in the late 40's. It always amazed me as a boy of 8 or 9 or 10 or so that someone could get that sign that high atop a building.
My girlfriend Kim over at Something To Say blog said she could see this horse from her bedroom window in Oak Cliff when she was a kid, so he was her nightlight.
