Downtown perspective from S Ervay at Cadiz
This is an area of town where there are a lot of homeless services. Once husband and I were driving through, and the light turned green and there were literally hundreds of pigeons in the street, eating the food that a local soup kitchen had provided for the homeless (the homeless were throwing the food in the street for the birds - our tax dollars at work, folks). We must have killed a dozen pigeons right there. The homeless people became quite agitated and vocal just then, but we drove off into the sunset.

Good to know that the homeless care as much for the birds as the home-ful.
You shouldn't run over the birds, you know. Like you said, you've paid to feed them.
edwin s - There's that fabulous discoball avatar - you rock, dude! *L* I wonder why they bother taking food they don't want to eat. Now if we soaked the bread in rum first, I'll bet they wouldn't have shared it with the birds.
then again, meg, killing some made for a few less mouths to feed. We really had no choice - the brids were thronging and it was either run over them or sit there until the feeding frenzy was over. It was so strange.
Rats with wings.
And you did not shoot these birds? I mean, you know what I mean???
fathairybastard - exactly
meg - Seriously - if they hadn't forced the pigeons to be in the street, then they wouldn't have been harmed. They should be charged with cruelty to animals.
