Yet another grand old building of the Belle Epoch downtown. This is the Wilson building, and it has been converted to lofts and condominiums. I'd love to live in this building, but I would miss my outdoor gardening space and I would hate to have to walk for several blocks for a pee-spot for my dog. Still, I can dream about living in such a marvelous bit of architecture.

Believe it or not, it's color but in the early evening shade downtown.

There are several loft and condo buildings in Houston that occasionaly make me think about moving into one. Then I remember what may be my single phobia. What if some other asshole goes to sleep with a lit cigarette? Or leaves the burner on under the skillet of bacon grease? Or lights a bunch of candles too close to the drapes? Or uses a real tree on Christmas but doesn't keep it watered? Get my drift? I know it may be silly but that's how my mind works.
