You might not ever get rich...

Working at the car wash. Well, I wasn't working - I was just passing through, paying other people to work. I love the car wash, and I prefer the type where I get to ride through, despite that icky car wash scene in A View To a Kill. Oh, and I love the sploogey-blue foam. Neat!

Old Stairs - circa 1911

This is a stair built into the side of a small hill on an industrial property in Dallas that dates from 1911. Gray days seem right for
black & white.

Because of all the recent harsh weather, there's still lots of sand and grit on the roads in case of ice, and this has a way of making vehicles particularly filthy. This is one of my favorite versions of "Wash me" I've ever seen. Fun! On Henderson at Central Expressway by Church's Fried Chicken.

Close up of welder on ladder from yesterday's photo. It looks cold up there, and a little scary.

Sorry I've not been posting lately, but the pictures went weird on the computer at home. I'll try and post more faithfully in future.

Glass Pegasus

This sculpture is made entirely of glass shards. It's amazing, because when I first saw it, it just looked fluffy and soft. Pegasus - symbol of Dallas' Mobil Oil-- is by extension a symbol of Dallas, so the winged horse is all over town. This is one of my favorite in a downtown loft building window.

Wrought-Iron gate of found objects

I love the stuffing out of this gate - it's fabulous. I especially love they way they've used the old glass telephone-pole insulators as embellishments around the arch. Charming.

The Old Red Courthouse in Downtown Dallas at night on December 17. Some scaffolding is up and they are working on the building for some reason.
